Field Reporter

About the role

The Field Reporter is responsible for covering events on location, gathering and verifying information, conducting interviews, and delivering fast, accurate reports for publication on the portal and media platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Cover events, conferences, activities, and current developments on site.
• Conduct interviews and collect statements from relevant sources.
• Verify information and facts before publication.
• Prepare real‑time news and reports from the field.
• Collaborate closely with the editorial team to set daily priorities.
• Provide photo and video material from the scene when required.
• Monitor ongoing developments and keep the newsroom updated.
• Uphold journalistic ethics, objectivity, and source confidentiality.

Required profile

• Preferably holds a higher education degree in Journalism, Communication, Social Sciences or a related field.
• Previous experience in journalism or online media is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and writing skills in Albanian.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Initiative, curiosity, and a knack for identifying newsworthy stories.
• Flexibility to work on location according to event dynamics.

Required skills

• Basic photo/video capture for digital platforms.
