Small Case Client Manager

About the role

The Standard is looking for a Small Case Client Manager to coordinate the delivery of insurance products and services to producers, customers and internal partners. You will build strong relationships, support case onboarding and drive profitable growth for group cases of 10‑99 lives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate service delivery, amendments and broker‑of‑record changes for small group cases.
• Maintain effective relationships with producers, customers, home‑office and field offices.
• Manage the renewal lifecycle, meet premium and retention targets, and identify growth opportunities within assigned blocks.
• Provide onboarding support, answer contractual and process questions, and train brokers and customers.
• Participate in training sessions, assist less experienced peers, and handle administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 3+ years of customer‑facing experience in employee benefits, account management, sales support or similar.
• Life and Disability insurance license for the resident state (must be obtained within 6 months of hire and kept current).
• Broad understanding of insurance contracts, statutes, tax regulations and underwriting guidelines.
• Ability to translate complex contract language into plain English, both verbally and in writing.
