Senior Java Software Engineer

About the role

Alvacore Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, reliable backend platforms. The role focuses on long‑term architecture, API design, and production‑ready delivery for systems where stability and auditability are critical.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Define service boundaries, API contracts, integration patterns, and data models.
• Develop clean REST APIs with proper validation, error handling, versioning, and idempotency.
• Integrate authentication mechanisms such as JWT, SAML2, Azure AD, and ADFS.
• Model and optimise PostgreSQL persistence layers, including transactions, indexes, and performance‑critical queries.
• Contribute to Docker‑based delivery, CI/CD pipelines, and SonarQube quality gates.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and influence long‑term technical decisions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on Java development experience.
• Strong expertise with Spring Boot and enterprise backend systems.
• Deep knowledge of Spring Security, authentication, and secure software design.
• Proven experience with JPA/Hibernate and PostgreSQL.
• Ability to design maintainable systems and challenge poor designs early.
• Excellent communication skills and an ownership‑driven mindset.
