Senior Java Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team and help design, build and scale our core micro‑services platform. The role combines hands‑on coding with system architecture, cloud deployment and mentorship of junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance, resilient microservices using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Define system architecture, APIs and data integration strategies.
• Write clean, test‑driven code and conduct code reviews.
• Mentor mid‑level and junior developers on best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps to deploy applications on AWS/Azure/GCP using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Optimize database interactions with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis and MongoDB.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional Java backend development experience.
• Fluent in Italian (C1/C2) and proficient in English.
• Proven experience with microservices, RESTful APIs and cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of software testing and TDD.
