Senior IT Application Specialist - HR Applications

About the role

The company is looking for a Senior IT Application Specialist for its HR Applications team, acting as a trusted advisor and functional expert. The role works across the HR application landscape, with a strong initial focus on SAP HCM, and supports the upcoming move from SAP HCM to SAP SuccessFactors. It suits someone who enjoys bridging business requirements and system functionality and working with HR stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Understand business needs, turn them into system solutions, create clear documentation and provide user support.
• Troubleshoot, give user support and post-implementation assistance across supported HR applications.
• Act as a functional expert for SAP HCM and partner with HR and IT teams to deliver system enhancements.
• Analyse existing HR processes and support their continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate with internal teams, external partners and vendors.
• Support testing, change implementation and rollout activities.
• Contribute to the transition from SAP HCM to SAP SuccessFactors.

Required profile

• Analytical mindset, structured problem solving and excellent communication skills.
• Strong understanding of HR processes and how they map to HR and ERP systems.
• Ability to analyse business requirements and work with HR, IT teams, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Confidence managing stakeholder expectations and explaining technical topics in business-friendly terms.
• Strong English for cross-team and international collaboration.
• Nice to have: background or practical experience with HR processes, internal IT support experience, and familiarity with reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI.

Required skills

• Solid hands-on functional experience with SAP HCM.
• Nice to have: SAP SuccessFactors (implementations, integrations, migrations), exposure to other HR applications, SAP HCM transformation experience, and SAP HCM integrations.
• ITIL certification is an asset.
