Senior Golang Developer (Remote from Europe)

About the role

A remote position for a Senior Golang Developer based in Europe, reporting to the Backend Lead Developer (Go). The role covers designing, building and maintaining high-performance backend services and APIs, owning the AWS infrastructure and working closely with the Software Architect.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs in Go.
• Own the AWS infrastructure, from provisioning and deployment to monitoring and cost optimisation.
• Work with the Software Architect to align technical decisions with the long-term infrastructure vision.
• Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure system stability and uptime at scale.
• Contribute to code reviews and architectural discussions.

Required profile

• 5 to 6 years of experience building production-grade backend systems in Go.
• Experience in iGaming is a must.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Nice to have: knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog, and knowledge of PHP.

Required skills

• Solid hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, SQS, CloudWatch).
• Distributed systems, REST API design and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
• Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Excellent AI usage skills.
