Senior Bookkeeper

About the role

Are you an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys owning the numbers across several companies? ISAL Tech is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join its international Finance team in Tirana. This hands‑on role involves managing bookkeeping for multiple international entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial records, supporting month‑end closing, and helping improve accounting processes as the Finance function grows.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping activities for multiple companies/entities.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing processes.
• Review balance‑sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage international vendors, cross‑border transactions, and multi‑currency accounting.
• Prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules for financial reporting.
• Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Review junior bookkeeping work and provide guidance.
• Identify process gaps and help improve accounting procedures, controls, and workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Experience working in an international company.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Hands‑on experience with month‑end closing and account reconciliations.
• Experience managing multiple entities or a portfolio of companies.
• Experience with international vendors and multi‑currency transactions.
• Experience working with external accountants and auditors.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently.
