Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & Analysis

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the preparation and oversight of financial statements, ensure compliance with reporting standards, and drive financial planning across Albanian operations and other group entities. This role combines rigorous reporting, internal control management, and strategic analysis to support senior management and the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of accurate income statements, balance sheets, and cash‑flow statements in line with GAAP for Albanian operations and applicable international entities.
• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines and regulatory requirements are met for each entity.
• Design, document, and maintain a robust internal‑controls framework, conducting regular internal audits and reporting deficiencies.
• Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, coordinating audit processes and responding to inquiries.
• Develop annual budgets and multi‑currency financial plans, creating consolidated models that incorporate economic assumptions and data from all group entities.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable insights.
• Define and monitor key financial KPIs, compare actual results against forecasts, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare regular financial reports for senior management and the Board, highlighting performance and strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) with several years of experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience working with international accounting standards.
• Proven ability to implement and oversee internal control systems.
• Experience coordinating external audits and managing audit relationships.
• Excellent analytical skills with a track record of building financial models and budgets.
