Global Tooling Specialist VTS

About the role

The Global Tooling Specialist VTS will design, implement, and maintain a cost‑effective global process for managing service tooling and test equipment used in maintenance, testing, and repair activities. Working closely with field service teams, workshops, and service technology centers, the role supports the 3D service model and ensures efficient operations across the VTS business.

Key responsibilities

• Define and establish a global tooling management process focused on safety, usability, lifecycle efficiency, and stakeholder alignment.
• Ensure all tooling complies with internal and external safety standards, creating risk assessments, safety guidelines, and maintenance protocols.
• Collaborate with VTS and product‑company supply‑chain teams to optimise sourcing, standardisation, supplier management, and cost control.
• Develop processes to protect tooling‑related intellectual property and facilitate knowledge sharing across global stakeholders.
• Design and maintain a digital infrastructure for tooling management, including databases, ordering systems, and asset‑tracking tools.

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent with a focus on mechanical design or manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or service of industrial equipment, preferably rotating machinery.
• Proven project‑management experience handling complex, cross‑functional projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross‑cultural collaboration.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and results‑driven.
