Full Stack Software Developer

About the role

A team of software developers in Tirana is looking for a very experienced, highly motivated, hands-on full stack developer. The team works on innovative software using modern computer science theories and best practices, with a strong spirit of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, maintain and customize mission-critical applications in a microservice-based framework
• Develop and enhance reusable, testable modules and components
• Build responsive web applications supporting both standard product capabilities and customizations
• Maintain existing applications, resolve defects, optimize performance and deliver customer-driven enhancements
• Apply best practices: testing, documentation, code review and adherence to design standards
• Use automated unit, component and integration testing
• Support packaging, configuration and automated deployment of software components
• Contribute to product innovation through prototypes and specifications
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure timely delivery
• Work in an agile environment, applying agile methodologies throughout the development lifecycle

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Sound track record as a software developer
• Experience with Angular, TypeScript and Material Design
• Experience with Java Spring Boot; functional or reactive programming is a plus
• Experience with GitHub Copilot or another AI coding assistant, Git, and agile methods such as Scrum
• Fluent English; availability to travel internationally, including possible temporary assignments abroad
• Team player in a multi-cultural environment, able to work independently and handle several projects

Required skills

• HTML and CSS, and RESTful APIs
• Testing frameworks such as Jasmine, Selenium and Cucumber
• Container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (a plus)
• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle and MySQL (a plus)
• Authentication and authorization systems such as Keycloak, Spring Security and OAuth (a plus)
• Mac/Linux environment, shell scripting and software packaging (a plus)
