DevOps / Systems Administrator

About the role

A small but dynamic system administration team is looking for a DevOps / Systems Administrator who works closely with software engineers to design software that is deployed through continuous delivery. The team shares knowledge and aims to improve its performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide IT system administration support to projects
• Manage systems running applications and database systems
• Deploy solutions and systems using industry-standard tools
• Develop solutions to package and deploy to new and existing clients
• Develop new systems to improve solution design and system architecture

Required profile

• 3+ years of DevOps experience
• Background in service provision from development to production environments, such as on-premise data centers or cloud-hosted ones
• Experience designing system architecture, including resource calculation, high availability, security and administration complexity
• Knowledge of ITIL and DevOps best practices, and experience with agile methods such as Scrum
• Fluent English; preferably a Master's degree in a technical field, or a Bachelor's degree with extensive relevant experience

Required skills

• Operating system administration, specifically RHEL and CentOS
• Virtualization (VMware) and cloud (OpenStack)
• CI/CD: Git Flow, Jenkins pipelines, Groovy, Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes/OpenShift
