Business Loan Advisor

About the role

The Business Loan Advisor is responsible for acquiring and managing micro and small business customers, driving sustainable growth of the loan portfolio. You will oversee the full lending cycle—from prospecting and application processing to disbursement, relationship management, and ongoing portfolio monitoring—while meeting commercial targets in line with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, acquire, and nurture new business loan customers through field activities, referrals, partners, and local networks.
• Maintain an active pipeline, follow up with clients, and identify additional financing needs.
• Manage loan applications from initial contact through eligibility assessment, documentation collection, internal approval, and disbursement.
• Conduct field verification visits to validate business information, assess operating conditions, and evaluate repayment capacity.
• Own the completeness and quality of loan files, ensuring all required documents and checks are recorded.
• Monitor the assigned loan portfolio, maintain regular client contact, and flag early warning signs of performance issues.
• Track and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual loan targets and related KPIs.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant experience in banking, micro‑finance, SME lending, financial services, or B2B sales (preferred).
• Experience working with business customers is an advantage.
• Strong sales orientation, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to interpret basic business and financial information.
