Accounting & Tax Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting & Tax Specialist to manage daily financial operations and provide tax advisory services. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Albanian accounting standards while supporting the finance team in reporting and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and process daily financial transactions.
• Advise clients on tax, VAT, payroll, and other financial matters.
• Prepare and file tax returns, VAT declarations, payroll, and statutory reports.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing, including account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Albanian tax and accounting legislation.
• Produce financial statements and management reports.
• Manage payroll accounting and related tax obligations.
• Support internal and external audits and improve internal controls.
• Mentor junior finance staff and handle special finance projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of Albanian accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English (C1 level).
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
