Senior Java Developer (AI‑enhanced)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Java developer to join our development teams. The role focuses on designing, building and improving backend modules while leveraging AI‑assisted tools to increase productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and translate them into clear technical solutions.
• Design, develop and enhance new and existing Java modules using modern Java (17+) and Spring Boot.
• Utilise AI assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) for coding, refactoring, testing and documentation.
• Conduct critical code reviews – both human‑written and AI‑generated – for correctness, security and performance.
• Integrate third‑party systems via REST and SOAP services.
• Embed AI capabilities into internal products and processes where they add real value.
• Write automated tests and maintain quality in CI/CD pipelines.
• Document components, architecture decisions and technical choices.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues.

Required profile

• Solid senior‑level experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, SOAP services and relational database design (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Proven ability to work with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps) and ALM tools (Jira).
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants and guiding them with clear context.
