Project Manager – Non‑Formal Education (Albania)

About the role

The British Council seeks a Project Manager to lead the delivery of non‑formal education programmes, including Youth Connect, across Albania. You will oversee project lifecycles, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with donor and organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with delivery partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring contractual commitments are met.
• Plan and monitor project finances, conduct monthly forecasting in SAP, and analyse variances to recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and implement project management plans, identify risks and apply mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate reporting requirements, including financial and progress reports for grant recipients and external partners.
• Support business development by contributing to commercial proposals and ensuring EDI principles are embedded in programme design.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent experience with a professional project‑management qualification or comparable work experience.
• Minimum two years of experience managing projects or programmes, including financial oversight and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in English and Albanian, both written and spoken.
