Junior Bookkeeper

About the role

Happy Mammoth is seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Bookkeeper to join its global Finance Team. You will maintain accurate financial records, process daily transactions, and support month‑end, reporting and audit activities across multiple entities and currencies.

Key responsibilities

• Record day‑to‑day financial transactions and ensure correct coding in the general ledger.
• Process supplier invoices, assist with supplier and contractor payments, and maintain accounts payable records.
• Maintain and regularly update finance trackers, budget schedules, PO trackers, and bank balance schedules.
• Participate in month‑end close, posting accruals, pre‑payments and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Perform bank, credit‑card, payment‑platform and intercompany reconciliations.
• Review ledger activity, investigate discrepancies and keep documentation audit‑ready.
• Assist with external audit preparation, annual returns and tax filings.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and high level of organisational accuracy.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, international, e‑commerce environment.
• Available to work primarily during European business hours.
• Previous experience in an international, high‑volume transactional business is advantageous.

Required skills

• Experience with NetSuite (highly desirable) or Xero or other ERP/accounting systems.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles.
• Proficiency in general‑ledger accounting, accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
