Senior Consultant in Tax & Accounting

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Tax and Accounting Consultant to join its Tax Department. The role combines transactional and reporting responsibilities, supporting clients with tax compliance, financial reporting and process improvements across local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts, monitor journal entries, and perform monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare complex statutory annual financial statements, consolidations and periodic reports.
• Oversee preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT, income tax, withholding tax and other statutory filings.
• Convert financial statements to Albanian GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS as required.
• Handle payroll matters and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Provide guidance on national and international accounting, tax and reporting requirements.
• Communicate directly with clients to understand needs and deliver timely support.

Required profile

• Prior experience in tax compliance, preferably with indirect tax exposure.
• Payroll experience is a plus.
• Self‑starter, organized, detail‑oriented and deadline driven.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced team on multiple projects.
• Experience with ERP systems such as MS Navision or SAP.
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting and cost‑control principles, including national and international standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
