SAS / Python Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAS / Python Developer to join a fully remote project that modernises legacy SAS procedures by re‑engineering them in Python. The role focuses on preserving functional consistency while improving performance and migrating solutions to serverless AWS services.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse existing SAS Enterprise Guide procedures and understand their functional logic.
• Re‑engineer SAS processes in Python, ensuring equivalent results.
• Identify architectural and performance improvement opportunities.
• Support migration of procedures to serverless AWS solutions where appropriate.
• Perform testing, validation and comparison of SAS versus Python outputs.
• Collaborate with the internal team and share technical knowledge and best practices.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with Python development.
• Solid knowledge of SAS Enterprise Guide, Base SAS, SAS Macro Language and PROC SQL.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases.
• Experience with Git or other version‑control systems.
• Ability to translate existing code logic into modern Python solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
