About the role

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring the hotel receives all goods and services needed for smooth operation, on time and within budget. This role directly influences operational efficiency and financial performance by managing the supply chain, controlling costs, and complying with Crowne Plaza/IHG standards and Albanian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing procedures aligned with Crowne Plaza/IHG standards and best practices in hospitality.
• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process from request to delivery, including RFQ preparation and offer analysis.
• Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with local and international suppliers.
• Build and maintain long‑term supplier relationships and monitor their performance.
• Ensure purchases stay within the hotel’s budget and operational needs.
• Coordinate with all departments to guarantee uninterrupted supply.
• Oversee goods receipt, invoice verification, and inventory data accuracy in Materials Control systems.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Prepare periodic procurement performance and cost analysis reports.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Business Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager, preferably in hospitality or a related industry such as Food & Beverage.
• Strong negotiation, cost analysis and contract management abilities.
• Experience with purchasing and inventory systems (e.g., Materials Control).
• Good knowledge of Albanian fiscal and procedural legislation.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Residence in Durrës or nearby with ability to travel daily to the hotel.
