International Migration Internship – Albania

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Albania offers a short‑term internship that provides practical exposure to migration, asylum, protection, diaspora engagement and migration governance. The placement supports the Country Office with research, documentation, coordination and administrative tasks while allowing the intern to deepen knowledge of Albania’s asylum system and EU standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and data collection on migration‑related topics.
• Prepare briefing notes, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in organizing meetings, workshops and events.
• Support documentation and filing of project files.
• Provide administrative assistance to the Head of Office and other team members.

Required profile

• Enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s programme or a recent graduate (within 12 months).
• Age between 20 and 36 years.
• Less than two years of relevant work experience.
• Academic background in law, international relations, migration studies or related fields.
