About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Structure Director to lead the daily operations of Bougainville Bay Resort & SPA. The role involves overseeing all hotel departments, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily hotel operations and supervise all functional areas.
• Coordinate core departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Sales and HR.
• Ensure each department operates according to the hotel’s defined standards.
• Oversee service quality at every guest touch‑point.
• Monitor cleanliness, maintenance, presentation of facilities and operational readiness.
• Organise operational meetings with department heads to track tasks, issues and objectives.
• Track bookings, occupancy, rates, revenue and daily performance metrics.
• Manage the operational budget, control costs and optimise expenses.
• Analyse key performance indicators including occupancy, revenue, costs, guest satisfaction and staff productivity.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and implement corrective actions.
• Recruit, train, orient and motivate managerial and operational staff.
• Enforce discipline, work ethics and procedural compliance across the team.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for all hotel departments.
• Liaise with suppliers, partners and third‑party service providers.
• Monitor inventory, supplies and operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene and legal standards.
• Report operational and financial performance to senior management.
• Identify opportunities to improve service, reduce costs and increase revenue.

Required profile

• University degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, Business, Economics or a related field.
• Previous senior management experience in the hotel industry (e.g., General Manager, Operations Manager, Hotel Manager).
• Strong leadership, organisational and decision‑making abilities.
• Proven experience in staff management and building effective teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve real‑time operational issues.
• Good knowledge of financial management, budgeting, cost control and revenue optimisation.
• High focus on service quality and guest satisfaction.
• Excellent command of English; additional languages are a plus.
