Technology Protection (STEM) Engineer III

About the role

Celestar, a B&A Company, is seeking a Technology Protection (STEM) Engineer III to support a federal government mission. The position involves applying engineering expertise to protect critical technical information and assess security risks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide RTP training to new ARTPC employees.
• Conduct RTP engineering analysis, including CTI identification, CPI assessments, CF analysis, supply‑chain and vulnerability analysis, and risk evaluation.
• Document findings in ARTPC assessment memoranda, AAR/Executive Summaries, and monthly status reports.
• Collaborate with government and contractor security specialists to develop and implement Interim/S&T Protection Plans or Program Protection Plans.
• Perform CPI surveys, ACT‑ID methodology reviews, and CRADA reviews as required.
• Develop, test, maintain, and operate a database/spreadsheet for Cyber Incident Damage Assessment (CIDA) case management, metrics, and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, aerospace, materials, etc.).
• At least eight years of engineering experience applying analytical methods, systems engineering concepts, or technology‑protection activities within the DoD, intelligence community, or defense industry.

Required skills

• Research and system decomposition capabilities.
• Risk‑mitigation strategy development.
• Experience briefing senior executives (SES/General officers) and interacting with security specialists.
