Tax Accountant

About the role

LMC Tirana is looking for an energetic Tax Accountant to join its finance team. You will work on a variety of US tax assignments for a diverse client base, supporting both routine filings and complex planning projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit simple to complex US tax returns for corporate and individual clients.
• Audit tax forms for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with government regulations.
• Provide forward‑looking tax planning advice to optimize client outcomes.
• Research emerging tax trends and regulatory changes.
• Mentor tax interns and support the professional development of team members.
• Communicate status updates and issues to senior staff, supervisors, managers, and partners.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience as a US tax preparer or in a comparable role.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s in Taxation is a plus.
• CPA or ACCA designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and research abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English with solid communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information discreetly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with US tax preparation software.
• Knowledge of CCH ProSystem or Axcess (Document) platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
