Tax Accountant

About the role

LMC Tirana is looking for a motivated Tax Accountant to join its finance team. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, preparing and reviewing US tax returns while supporting their long‑term tax strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit simple to complex US tax returns for various clients.
• Audit tax forms for completeness and accuracy.
• Provide future tax planning and advice to maximize client outcomes.
• Research new tax trends and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Train and mentor tax interns and support team development.
• Manage multiple assignments and communicate status to seniors, supervisors, managers and partners.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience as a US tax preparer or in a similar role.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; Master’s in Taxation is a plus.
• CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
• Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical and research abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with US tax preparation software.
• Knowledge of CCH ProSystem, Axcess or Document platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and overall MS Office skills.
