Specialist I Riskut Operacional

About the role

The Operational Risk Specialist identifies, evaluates and monitors operational risks across all institutional processes. The role coordinates the Risk & Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) process, tracks Key Risk Indicators (KRI), and proposes measures to reduce risk exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the operational incident register, analyse root causes and follow up corrective actions.
• Conduct testing and effectiveness assessments of internal controls.
• Analyse business processes to identify weaknesses or improvement opportunities.
• Participate in the development, update and implementation of operational risk policies and procedures.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting operational risk.
• Prepare periodic risk reports for senior management and the Board.
• Collaborate with other departments to address risk issues.
• Report operational risk exposure to the Central Bank of Albania.
• Support new product, process or service projects by providing pre‑implementation risk assessments.
• Organise or support training on operational risk management for staff.
• Ensure implementation of action plans arising from audits, inspections or self‑assessments.

Required profile

• Higher education in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in operational risk management or internal audit.
• Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and reporting abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in English.
