Senior Program Manager, Political Analysis and Reporting

About the role

AIIS is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the analytical and operational delivery of a high‑profile project portfolio. The successful candidate will oversee the full production cycle, including monthly and quarterly reports on the Western Balkans, as well as ad‑hoc analytical briefs, and act as the operational focal point for all portfolio requests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end the analytical reporting portfolio, ensuring accuracy, consistency and on‑time delivery of all products.
• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for the portfolio, receiving, prioritising, scoping and delivering on all incoming requests.
• Design, implement and maintain tech‑assisted workflows for media monitoring, press review compilation, translation, report drafting and formatting, and train team members in their use.
• Provide political analysis and editorial judgement on developments across the Western Balkans (WB6), placing news in broader political, economic and security contexts.
• Plan and manage the project cycle for the portfolio, including timelines, resource allocation, internal coordination and reporting.

Required profile

• Completed university degree in International Relations (or related) with both undergraduate and Master’s obtained at European universities outside Albania.
• Demonstrated knowledge of politics and current affairs with professional experience covering the Western Balkans Six (WB6).
• Prior managerial experience with responsibility for teams, deliverables or client relationships.
• Familiarity with AI tools and their use in workflow automation.
• Professional experience in media, such as journalism, media monitoring, editorial work or media analysis.
• Proven project‑management experience, including planning, delivery and reporting against deadlines.
• Fluency in Albanian, both written and spoken, at a level suitable for professional analysis.
