Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

The Senior Financial Accountant will oversee the organization’s financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Reporting to the CFO, this role plays a key part in preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification and payment processing.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
• Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in financial reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in financial accounting.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
