Senior Backend Engineer – Identity & Access Management

About the role

Andersen is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and operate high‑throughput identity services for a global financial and protection services client. You will work on a scalable distributed platform built in Go, focusing on security, reliability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain low‑latency identity services such as SSO, MFA, session management, and federation.
• Own features end‑to‑end, from design through production support and incident response.
• Implement OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT issuance, rotation, and revocation strategies.
• Deploy and automate identity infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and Kubernetes.
• Provide security reviews, threat modeling, and guidance on secure integrations.

Required profile

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 5 years in Go.
• Hands‑on production experience with IAM, authentication, and authorization protocols.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain security trade‑offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Upper‑Intermediate English or higher.

Required skills

• Go, gRPC, HTTP APIs.
• OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSO, MFA, RBAC, JWT.
• Cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, Terraform/Terragrunt/OpenTofu.
• Identity providers such as Keycloak and AWS Cognito.
• Security fundamentals: OWASP Top 10, cryptography, token security.
