Senior Accountant

About the role

XH&M Group is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join its construction and real‑estate development team in Tirana. The role involves managing accounting operations across multiple projects while ensuring compliance with Albanian tax legislation and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and control accounting entries and financial documentation for all construction projects.
• Prepare monthly and annual closing statements, financial reports and management dashboards.
• Track and analyse project‑specific costs, expenses and liabilities.
• Reconcile invoices, contracts and payments with suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
• Maintain bank account reconciliations and monitor cash‑flow obligations.
• Prepare tax declarations and ensure statutory compliance.
• Collaborate with management on budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and payment planning.
• Support procurement and project managers to verify documentation and control costs.
• Assist during audits and drive improvements in internal accounting controls.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including senior‑level responsibilities.
• Experience in the construction or real‑estate sector is a strong advantage.
• Solid knowledge of Albanian tax legislation and accounting standards.
• Professional integrity, responsibility and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with ERP accounting systems.
