Remote Bookkeeper

About the role

Geraci LLP is seeking an experienced, detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to work remotely and support its legal accounting function. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and collaborating with leadership and external accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records, record daily transactions, and reconcile bank and credit‑card accounts.
• Process vendor invoices, monitor accounts receivable, prepare client invoices, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Utilize Clio for billing records, ensure consistency between Clio and QuickBooks, and support legal accounting compliance.
• Process payroll through Gusto, reconcile payroll reports, and handle employee reimbursements.
• Prepare monthly bookkeeping reports, assist external accountants with tax and audit requests, and keep organized electronic documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience using U.S. accounting practices in a law‑firm environment.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Clio, QuickBooks, and Gusto.
• Experience in accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and payroll accounting.
