Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist leads the company's purchasing function, ensuring that goods, services, and equipment are acquired on time, within budget, and in compliance with internal policies and legal requirements. This role works closely with operations, finance, and project teams to align procurement activities with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that support the company's goals.
• Manage the full procurement cycle: supplier sourcing, RFQs/RFPs, tendering, negotiations, purchasing, and contract management.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and reliability.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts to achieve best value.
• Maintain long‑term relationships with key suppliers and strategic partners.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, PMO, Finance, Warehouse and other departments to forecast needs and ensure material availability.
• Track inventory levels, minimize stock shortages and excess inventory.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations.
• Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations and supplier risks to inform decisions.
• Manage procurement budgets, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and prepare spend analyses and KPI reports.
• Lead and develop the procurement team, fostering operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in telecommunications, construction, engineering or infrastructure projects is a strong advantage.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
