Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Maintenance Manager will lead all physical aspects of the plant, ensuring reliable operation of electrical and mechanical systems, production equipment, utilities, and grounds. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with company, state, and local policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage maintenance schedules, coordinating daily work assignments for the maintenance team.
• Implement a robust preventative maintenance program for all production machinery and plant facilities.
• Hire, train, and develop maintenance staff, ensuring up‑to‑date safety training.
• Ensure compliance with Seneca and OSHA safety standards.
• Collaborate with Plant Manager and Superintendent on budgets, capital projects, and equipment issue resolution.
• Coordinate external contractors and vendors, managing projects to meet quality, safety, and deadline requirements.
• Procure parts and supplies, maintaining inventory for seasonal production and rebuild needs.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work areas, shops, and storage spaces.
• Support the SAVES safety program and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of maintenance experience with proven leadership and management abilities.
• Advanced mechanical knowledge and prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Thorough understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations related to plant operations.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex mechanical issues.
