Loan Officer

About the role

MiA Finance is seeking a full‑time Loan Officer to work on‑site in Tirana. You will identify prospective clients, explain loan products, guide applicants through the loan origination process and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach prospective borrowers and explain loan offerings.
• Collect required documentation, complete loan applications and perform preliminary underwriting.
• Assess creditworthiness and recommend appropriate loan terms in line with company policies.
• Maintain ongoing client relationships, respond to inquiries and provide service throughout the loan lifecycle.
• Ensure all activities comply with internal procedures and regulatory standards.
• Monitor loan performance, prepare basic reports and flag any issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve lending processes and enhance client experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in loan officer or similar lending roles.
• Strong understanding of loan origination, underwriting basics and credit evaluation.
• Relevant education in finance, economics, business or a related field.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities and ability to manage multiple cases.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills for diverse client interactions.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Tirana and collaborate within a team environment.
• Ethical approach to lending with a commitment to regulatory compliance.
• Readiness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
