Legal Specialist – Higher Education

About the role

The University of New York Tirana seeks a Legal Specialist to support its higher‑education environment. The role involves ensuring that university contracts, regulations, and communications comply with Albanian law and institutional policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing communication and coordination with external legal counsel and law firms engaged by the university.
• Review, draft, and monitor contracts, agreements, internal regulations, and other legal documentation.
• Provide legal guidance to university departments on contractual, administrative, and regulatory matters.
• Ensure institutional practices are updated in line with legal and regulatory developments.
• Draft and follow up on official communications with agencies and authorities.
• Assist in monitoring legal cases, attend hearings or court sessions, and report outcomes.
• Perform other duties related to the position as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law.
• 2–5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to collaborate with academic and administrative staff.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
