About the role

The HSE Engineer will coordinate, implement, monitor and verify Health, Safety & Environment requirements for construction projects, ensuring compliance with Albanian legislation, project specifications, IFC Performance Standard 4, WBG EHS Guidelines and applicable EN/NFPA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor HSE requirements throughout the construction phase.
• Conduct regular site inspections and verify compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Identify risks and non‑conformities, propose corrective actions and follow up on their implementation.
• Collaborate with HSE, QA/QC, MEP teams and subcontractors for installation and inspection of Life & Fire Safety systems.

Required profile

• University degree in Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical engineering or related technical field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience as an HSE Engineer on construction, MEP and fire‑protection projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Albanian occupational safety and health legislation and fire‑protection regulations.

Required skills

• Fire detection and alarm systems, sprinkler/hydrant systems, fire pump and smoke‑control systems.
• Emergency power supply and BMS interfaces for fire‑protection systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, shop drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with IFC Performance Standard 4, WBG EHS Guidelines and EN/NFPA standards.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
