Identity Trust & Fraud Intelligence Expert (Freelance)

About the role

Join TELUS Digital’s AI Community to help build a global "Shield of Trust" for digital identity. As a freelance Identity Trust & Fraud Intelligence Expert, you will train AI systems to differentiate real humans from synthetic masks and authentic documents from expertly forged copies.

Key responsibilities

• Document Authenticity Auditing: Review and annotate high‑resolution scans of passports, visas, licences and other IDs to spot microscopic forgery markers.
• Liveness & Biometric Verification: Evaluate liveness test data to improve AI detection of deepfakes, playback attacks and 3D masks.
• OCR & PII Data Validation: Audit AI‑extracted personal data (name, DOB, expiry) for accuracy across multiple scripts and document formats.
• Adversarial Fraud Testing: Act as a fraudster by submitting edge‑case and synthetic identities to uncover vulnerabilities in KYC models.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, Forensic Science or Information Security.
• Native‑level proficiency in your primary language to recognise regional document nuances.
• English proficiency of at least B1 level.
• Exceptional attention to pixel‑level details in digital images.
• Successful completion of a subject‑specific qualification exam and ID verification.
