German‑Speaking Staff Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a German‑speaking Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this role you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations while supporting compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record, verify, consolidate and enter transactions to maintain accounting integrity.
• Prepare journal entries and close books on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile assigned accounts each month.
• Manage accounts payable: record invoices, obtain approvals, generate payments, and maintain supplier tax documentation, including VAT compliance.
• Organise and maintain vendor records.
• Coordinate with auditors for interim and annual audits, providing required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects and cross‑train team members as needed.

Required profile

• Fluent German (written and spoken).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

What we offer

• Base salary range €45,000‑€70,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
