About the role
Cactus provides language editing services to help researchers publish their work in prestigious journals. As an Editor, you combine language skills with subject-area expertise to help researchers worldwide publish cutting-edge research. The role is fully remote, with flexibility to choose your working hours and a predictable monthly volume of work.
Key responsibilities
- Edit manuscripts so that the final text is in standard scientific English and free of unclear or unidiomatic sentences
- Follow job-specific guidelines and format manuscripts according to the target journal when required
- Make sure all subject-specific conventions are followed
Required profile
- PhD degree in the required subject area
- Excellent English proficiency and attention to detail; prior editing experience is a plus
- Interest in staying up to date with the latest developments in your field
