Economist

About the role

The Economist will be responsible for managing and processing the company’s financial data, ensuring accuracy, compliance with legislation, and proper financial reporting. This role bridges finance and warehouse operations, supporting the organization’s financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately record all sales and purchase invoices in the accounting and inventory systems.
• Manage and monitor the movement of goods in the warehouse, including receipt and handover.
• Review and verify warehouse documentation such as invoices, delivery orders, and requisition forms.
• Maintain inventory records and perform regular warehouse‑finance reconciliations.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts and reconciliations.
• Record cash transactions, maintain the daily cash register, and reconcile cash inflows and outflows.
• Collaborate with the Finance/Accounting department on invoice, inventory, and cash‑related matters.
• Perform other related tasks to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Very good knowledge of Financa 5 software.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Experience preparing and recording sales and purchase invoices.
• Experience in cash management, including cash inflows, outflows, and reconciliations.
• High level of accuracy, responsibility, and attention to detail.
