About the role
Abkons is looking for a Digitization Operator to support the inventory and digitisation of cadastral maps. The role involves scanning archival map documents, ensuring high‑quality digital files, and organising them for easy retrieval.
Key responsibilities
- Inventory and scan cadastral maps using dedicated scanning equipment.
- Verify that each scanned image meets required technical standards (resolution, colour depth, file format, naming conventions).
- Index scanned files and link them to the correct cadastral areas.
- Document any missing information, damage, or anomalies and report them to the supervisor.
Required profile
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with file management.
- Ability to handle fragile archival materials carefully.
- High attention to detail to ensure scans are clear and complete.
- Capability to follow defined instructions and procedures.
- Good organisational skills for managing digital files.
- Ability to work efficiently within project deadlines.
