Data & AI Office Specialist

About the role

The Data & AI Office Specialist will join the Chief Governance Officer Division of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania. This position supports the bank’s data transformation journey by strengthening governance, data quality and the strategic use of artificial intelligence across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the Bank’s Data Governance and Data Quality Framework in line with Group standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor data quality across critical systems, identify deficiencies, propose corrective actions and track remediation.
• Develop data‑governance metrics, reports, dashboards and analytical tools to support business insights and strategic decision‑making.
• Facilitate the adoption of data‑governance policies, standards and controls throughout business and support functions.
• Collaborate with business units, IT teams and data owners to translate needs into effective governance and data‑management solutions.
• Support data‑management processes such as data classification, metadata management and data‑lifecycle controls.
• Monitor regulatory, technological and industry developments related to data governance and AI, assessing their impact on the Bank.
• Contribute to AI‑governance initiatives, responsible AI practices and the integration of AI capabilities within the operating model.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence or a related area.
• Strong analytical capabilities and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Awareness of regulatory requirements and Group standards for data governance.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Programming experience in Python or R.
• Understanding of data‑modeling concepts and database structures.
• Good knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Management principles and frameworks.
