Commissioning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning of hydro‑mechanical and electro‑mechanical equipment on international hydropower projects. The role involves planning, executing and validating the performance of turbines, generators, governors and auxiliary systems at customer sites worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and carry out commissioning activities for hydro‑mechanical and electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Perform functional testing, system checks and performance verification in line with technical specifications and safety regulations.
• Analyse and troubleshoot technical issues during start‑up and commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors and internal project teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test protocols and technical documentation.
• Support customer training, hand‑over procedures and warranty/service assignments as needed.

Required profile

• University diploma in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience with rotating equipment such as turbines and generators.
• Project‑management experience, including sub‑supplier handling and scheduling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and schedules.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
