Strategic Partnerships & Innovation Officer

About the role

The Strategic Partnerships & Innovation Officer will identify, develop and secure European funding opportunities, building long‑term collaborations with universities, hospitals, research institutes and industry partners to generate strategic partnerships and sustainable revenue for Poseidon CRO.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate funding programmes such as Horizon Europe, EIT Health, IHI, Interreg, Digital Europe, Erasmus+ and COST Actions.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, prepare go/no‑go analyses and internal recommendations.
• Identify, engage and build relationships with potential partners across Europe, representing Poseidon at brokerage events and conferences.
• Coordinate consortium formation, partnership agreements and proposal preparation, including technical sections, work packages, budgets and impact plans.
• Support business development by linking Poseidon’s expertise in clinical research, RWE, health data analytics, AI, DCTs and digital health to funding opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a life‑science, health‑economics or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience with European research and innovation programmes.
• Proven track record contributing to Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020, EIT Health, IHI or similar collaborative proposals.
• Strong understanding of European funding mechanisms and consortium building.
• Excellent written and spoken English (C1 level or above) and strong organisational and communication skills.

• Stakeholder engagement and partnership development across academia, industry and research institutes.
