About the role

FED invest, a leading financial institution in Albania, is seeking an Internal Audit Specialist to independently assess the effectiveness of its internal control, risk management and governance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits according to the approved annual audit plan.
• Evaluate internal control systems and their effectiveness.
• Analyze operational, financial, credit and administrative processes.
• Assess operational, financial, legal and compliance risks.
• Monitor compliance with legal acts, regulations and institutional procedures.
• Prepare audit reports and recommendations for process improvement.
• Track implementation of recommendations and report on progress.
• Collaborate with external auditors, supervisory authorities and other institutional units.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Audit or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, compliance or internal control.
• Previous experience in the financial, banking or micro‑finance sector.
• Good knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework governing financial institutions.
• Understanding of risk management and internal control systems.

Required skills

• Strong analytical abilities and experience in financial data reporting and interpretation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data‑analysis tools.
• Professional integrity, objectivity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
