Social Media Video Editor & Designer

About the role

CapsLock is looking for a Social Media Video Editor & Designer to create engaging, platform‑first video content for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. The role focuses on short‑form video editing, motion graphics, and supporting static assets while collaborating closely with the social media team.

Key responsibilities

• Edit short‑form videos for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, emphasizing strong hooks, pacing, storytelling, and platform‑native formats.
• Transform raw footage into polished content using cuts, captions, transitions, music, voiceovers, sound effects, and visual effects.
• Create motion graphics and design assets such as overlays, text animations, thumbnails, static posts, and Stories.
• Collaborate with CRO, Media Buying, Sales, and other teams to align creatives with campaign and business objectives.
• Stay up‑to‑date with social media trends, editing styles, platform updates, and emerging creative formats.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional video editing and creative experience, preferably focused on social media.
• Strong portfolio showcasing short‑form video editing, motion graphics, and graphic design work.
• Ability to follow brand guidelines while bringing fresh creative ideas.
• Results‑driven mindset with understanding of how creative decisions impact engagement and performance.

Required skills

• Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar video editing tools.
• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma or similar graphic design tools.
• Visual storytelling, pacing, hooks, composition, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook content formats, trends, and best practices.
