Senior Tax & Accounting Consultant

About the role

As a Senior Tax & Accounting Consultant you will manage accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely support for clients across local and international requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts, monitor journal entries, prepare monthly accruals and perform reconciliations.
• Prepare complex statutory annual financial statements, consolidations and periodic reports.
• Oversee preparation of tax returns including VAT, income tax, WHT and other filings.
• Convert annual financial statements to Albanian GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS.
• Handle payroll matters and ensure compliance with local and regional legislation.
• Provide guidance on national and international accounting, tax and reporting requirements.
• Maintain direct communication with clients to understand needs and deliver timely support.

Required profile

• Prior tax compliance experience, preferably with indirect tax exposure.
• Payroll experience preferred.
• Self‑starter, organized, detail‑oriented and deadline driven.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced team on multiple projects.
• Experience with ERP systems such as MS Navision or SAP.
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting and cost‑control principles, including national and international standards.
• Proficient in MS Office with extensive Excel expertise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
