Senior Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Senior Procurement Specialist leads and manages the procurement function, ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and compliant acquisition of goods, materials, equipment and services to support business operations and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, including supplier sourcing, RFQs/RFPs, tendering, negotiations, purchasing and contract management.
• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance and reliability.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and contractual agreements to achieve best value.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with suppliers and strategic partners.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, PMO, Finance, Warehouse and other departments to forecast needs and ensure material availability.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement activities to minimise shortages and excess.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, internal controls and legal requirements.
• Track market trends, pricing fluctuations and supplier risks to support informed decisions.
• Manage procurement budgets and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Prepare procurement reports, KPIs, spend analyses and management reports.
• Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation.
• Lead and develop the procurement team, promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain or contract management experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in telecommunications, construction, engineering or infrastructure projects is a strong advantage.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Procurement processes, strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiations.
• Preparation and management of tenders, RFQs, purchase orders and supplier agreements.
• ERP systems and procurement software (Microsoft Dynamics experience is an advantage).
• Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
