Senior Finance Associate

About the role

B.M Group, a consolidated distribution company offering quality products mainly from European Union countries, is looking for a motivated professional for the position of Senior Finance Associate. The role is responsible for administering, controlling and monitoring the company's financial and accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial data, compliance with internal procedures and legal and fiscal obligations. It supports financial reporting, economic performance analysis, cost control and decision-making through timely financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, manage and control all financial activities, including financial and operational strategies
• Prepare reports on risks, liabilities and investments, and present them to the executive board
• Oversee the budget and expenses, and provide financial information
• Organise and direct accounting, prepare monthly P&L statements and other reports requested by management
• Account for imports and exports, reconcile them with taxes, customs and the main supplier, and handle customs warehouse accounting
• Prepare distribution bonuses, check managers' and clients' commissions, and set product costs and margins by channel
• Handle VAT, withholding tax and other declarations via the e-filing system, and submit annual accounts to the tax authorities
• Carry out daily, monthly and yearly financials and cash flow controls, analyse market trends and competitors, and develop long-term business plans
• Work closely with legal, HR, sales and marketing departments

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
• At least 4-6 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in distribution or trading
• Advanced knowledge of Albanian tax and fiscal legislation
• Good knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting
• Experience preparing and analysing financial statements, periodic reports and reconciliations
• English
