Senior Bookkeeper – International Finance Team

About the role

ProRecruit is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join its international Finance team in Albania. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, collaborating with external accountants and auditors, and implementing strong financial processes in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and improve financial processes, controls, and accounting procedures in line with international best practices.
• Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Handle international payments, multi‑currency transactions, and vendor management.
• Work closely with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Improve and implement accounting procedures, controls, and financial processes.
• Support a fast‑growing business with efficient and accurate financial operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Proven experience working in an international company.
• Experience with international vendors, cross‑border payments, and multi‑currency transactions.
• Experience working with external auditors and accounting firms.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting processes.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
