Senior Accountant

About the role

ECOVIS Albania is expanding its Accounting & Tax team and seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to manage client work independently and support junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting and tax compliance for a portfolio of local and international clients.
• Prepare and review bookkeeping, VAT books, payroll inputs, withholding tax, reconciliations and monthly closings.
• Prepare financial statements, tax returns and management reports.
• Track client deadlines and ensure timely filing of all required documents.
• Resolve routine accounting and tax queries, escalating complex matters to managers or partners.
• Mentor and review the work of junior accountants and interns.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, tax compliance or financial reporting; professional services experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Albanian accounting, tax and payroll legislation.
• Excellent English and very good Excel skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with Financa5 or similar accounting software.
